Environment Ministry warns workers on lateness to work
administration (DFA).The circular issued on Friday in Ikeja also accused some staff of the ministry of forming the habit of coming to work late and not signing the register. It advised those using syndicates to sign the register to desist from such act of impersonation, which, it noted, was a gross misconduct against the civil service rule.The circular advised the workers to adhere to the rule, saying that failure to comply would attract strict penalty. It reminded the staff of the need to be punctual at work and to sign the attendance register.It will be recalled that the State Head of Service, Alhaji Yakub Balogun, had warned state public servants to guide against lateness to work. The state government provides staff buses to convey public servants to their offices on working days to enhance efficiency.
